My Birthday!!

Today is my birthday. I've received many birthday greetings from friends, via sms or e-cards. =)

Last nite, I was out with a group of friends for KTV session, reached home at nearly 1am. Then gone to sleep at around 2am+.

I had a very funny dream this morning. I could find myself laughing in my sleep too... hahaha... then who knows my hp rang. I got out of bed and saw it was 6.45am. It's Kene! I had messaged him on Monday and he had yet to reply my sms. Was already quite annoyed liao, then still called me at this hour.

I picked up the call and asked if he knows what time was it. He still replied me it's 7am, asked me to wake up and go work! I was really fuming mad... of all days.. give me morning call on my birthday?!!! GRRRR.. scolded him over the phone and I went back to sleep. The poor guy could only apologize to me.

I woke up at nearly 11am and then did some of the daily stuffs. Mom had cooked mee sua in the morning and I took a bowl of it =D

Overeating...

Just had a tummy ache wor... I think I ate too much today.

I woke up at nearly 8am and started my revision to finish up the topic. Then went for my breakfast -- carrot cake. Mom boils herbal tea this morning and I had 2 mugs of them.

In the noon, I had veggies, long beans and otak for lunch. After lunch, I had an ice-cream :P

In the evening, we all went out for dinner downstairs... so called celebrate my birthday this coming week.. haha... we always have simple celebrations. We ordered 4 dishes -- mutton soup, sweet honey meat patties, hotplate beancurd with egg and Luo Han vegetarian dish.

I also went to have dinner with Lynn last Wed as she wanted to give me a birthday treat too. I guess I still have another treat coming up this week with Xuefen and the rest. Hope I wont overeat and ended up like one of the past years where I had very serious diarrhea that I couldn't walk and mom had to support me by my arms to walk to the 24 hrs clinic! :P

Mother's Day Celebration

We went to one of the restaurants at The Rail Mall for dinner today. It's a Chinese restaurant. Most of the waitresses there are Malaysians. We made a reservation few days ago.

We ordered steam crab, broccoli with scallops, Peking duck, and beancurd with golden mushrooms. The dishes didn't taste too well. They weren't hot. They were just lukewarm. The rice and the beancurds were cold. Sighz... The total bill came up to $120+. Not quite worth the money though. However, everyone enjoyed having dinner together . =)

What A Busy Day~!!

Yesterday was a very busy day for me.

In the morning, the RM from ABN called me on the maturity of our FD. The interest rates seem to have fallen. So I told him I'll get back to him if I wanted to roll over the FD.

In the meantime, I called the RM from OCBC to ask for what interest rate that she could offer me. Indeed, she gave me a higher rate. I then called back to ABN that I wanted to withdraw the FD as I've better offer. MT then said that he can't offer me a higher rate or else it'll be at their cost. Then I told him it's alright then, I'll withdraw the FD. Who knows a while later, he called me again telling me that his boss was willing to earn nothing but wanted to keep our FD with them. Then I called back to OCBC again telling them that we didn't want to place FD with them already as ABN had agreed to match the rates offered by OCBC.

Wow.. it was a real fight for both banks to get me to place FD with them.. haha.. AA told me that she'll get give me a better rate and asked me to place FD with her. Well, I asked boss' opinion and he agreed and that we'll withdraw partial FD with OCBC and rollover the remaining with ABN.

After this had been settled, I quickly drafted out the instruction letter to ABN for FD withdrawal and another instruction letter to place FD with OCBC. As we need both signatories and one of the signatories was not in office, boss had to go and get the second signatory from the other boss.

Finally, the whole thing was settled at about 1pm. What a relieve for me~! =D

Today is a real busy day. Early morning, I rushed to make photocopies of the supportings required by the auditor to clarify all her queries. While doing that, I was also checking the online bank statement for the transactions made the previous days and realised that one amount was wrongly keyed in by the bank teller. I called the customer call centre and the officer asked for the relevant information that he needed and I furnished him with what I could provide him with. Then he asked for the contact number which I gave him office number. Just then, he said in case that he could not get me at that number, I may want to leave him my mobile number. I was thinking why should I leave my mobile number? I told the officer that I've given him my office number and I could be reached at that number.

He's rather efficient though. He managed to rectify the error made by their end within an hour's time. Still not to bad :)

Then in the noon, continued with auditor's queries and some other daily work. The invoices for last month's billings have come in. I had to start keying in all those invoices into the system. I got my assistant to help me open the letters while I continued with my other work.

Suddenly, Patrick came up and passed me something secretively. I realised it was a pink rose. I've already told him that he shouldn't waste his money to buy me presents. He had given a rose of champagne colour to her yesterday and he was not aware that I'm also celebrating my birthday this month, hence the flower. Haha.. promises are meant to be broken, spoken words are white lies... well... depends on the situation to hold true...

I msged a friend abt it. Maybe he's not in a good mood lately, the reply he gave wasn't very nice. Sounds sarcastic though... Well, perhaps I've been disturbing all these while... I only could apologised, that's all... I'm bothered with his replies too... Just trying to show a bit of concern and this was what I got in return. Sad though... :(

Happy Birthday Maslinda!

Hee.. today is Mas' birthday. As usual, we ordered a cake to celebrate for those who are having their birthdays in the month.

This month, we are celebrating Mas, myself and uncle's birthday. We ordered a black forest cake. Actually we thought of ordering the Tiramisu cake but it cost $40 and company business isn't doing well lately, we are also afraid that boss might be unhappy that we spend so much on the cake. This cake itself already cost $36 for 1kg.

We had the celebration at 4pm for high tea. Boss didn't know that we are celebrating our birthdays today. He then asked Melvin to go and buy some wine. Melvin bought two bottles of red wine. Uncle poured me a little wine as I was not suppose to drink much due to health reasons.

We managed to cut the squarish cake into 20 pieces! Wow.. Hee.. but of course there were still few pieces of cake left after everyone had their share. There wasn't many people in the office today but I hope everyone enjoyed themselves to the little celebration. :)

As usual, I went for tuition in the morning. I had prepared some Science notes for my student yesterday night and quickly printed them out this morning. I was nearly late but luckily made it to the student's house just in time.

After the lesson ended, I met up with Xue Fen at Lot 1 for Spiderman 3. The show was suppose to be nice I guess. I didn't pay much attention to the show as I was having a terrible headache. My cough seems to have come back. Our show started at 12.45pm and ended at 3pm+.

After movie, we went to Pizza Hut for our lunch. We chatted while eating. We ordered a set meal for two, a garlic bread and a Hut's Platter. Total bill came to about $40. Hehehe.. we really can eat a lot hor?

After our meal, I went to Guardian to buy some panadols for my headache just in case there isn't panadols at home. Alvin said I'm a hopeless case. How can there be no medicine at home? But the thing is, we don't keep medicine at home!! So, I just bought some panadols for standby.

Maybe have to go for doctor's consultation again. Alvin suggested that I go for another doctor's opinion. I've been coughing for nearly 3 weeks. As it wasn't very serious, I also didn't pay much attention to it. Sigh.. should I just let the cough continue, or see a doctor? It's not very serious though, just dry cough. But sometimes I do feel a little out of breath while coughing. Exams is coming soon. I better get well soon!
