This morning, I went to give tuition to my student. She wasn't in when I reached the house. Her father said that she had swollen eye and had gone to see the doctor. I was invited to take a seat in the hall first. A while later, the student was back.
Her eye was a little swollen. She came home first while her mom helped her to collect the medicine at the clinic.
After tuition ended, I went to Yew Tee Community Centre to meet Keat Hoon to study for exams. There were a few people in the study room. The air con temperature in the room was 26 degrees for 2 air cons and 23 degrees for the other one. It was rather hot in the room. I couldn't understand why the other 3 people were wearing sweaters. The sun rays was shining into the room, making the room so hot!!
We went for dinner at about 6pm. We went to the food centre beside Yew Tee MRT. I had fish soup with rice. After dinner, we walked back to the CC to continue with our revision.
When we entered the study room, 2 air cons were of 26 degrees celsius and the other one was of 30 degrees celsius!! I wondered which one had the itchy hand to go and adjust the temperature up by so much! Room temperature is only 25 to 28 degrees celsius. If they want to study in the 30 degrees environment, might as well study at the void deck at the HDB flats.
Keat Hoon was rather annoyed with the other three users as they kept adjusting the temperature in the room to meet their comfort without considering if we are comfortable with the temperature in the room. She complained to the in charge who then came to adjust the temperature to a cooling 18 degrees. Ahhh... it's so much better to study in a cooling and quiet environment on hot and sunny day! =)
