It's the 2nd time we meet up for dinner. We met at Tiong Bahru Plaza and went to Xiao Xuan Feng for dim sum the first time we met. It's a small cafeteria. The food was not bad though and the price was reasonable.
Last evening, we went to Holland Village. LG came to pick me up at Queenstown MRT station. At first LG suggested that we should go to The Rail Mall if I need to work late. However, I tried to assure that I'll try to turn up as soon as possible after I completed my work.
We managed to meet up at 7pm. We went to Holland Village. LG suggested going to Wala Wala but it was so crowded. There was no available seat. Ultimately, we went to an Italian Restaurant nearby - AMICI Authentic Italian Restaurant.
AMICI was a cosy place. The ambience seems nice though the place where we were seated was rather dim. It seems a place for fine dining though LG said it was not as he was in casual wear (bermudas) and may not be allowed in if it's a place for fine dining :P
LG ordered 1 eggplant parmigiana for our appetizer. It consists of layers of sliced eggplant filled with mozzarella cheese, tomatoes and basil. An ideal choice for health-conscious diners indeed. Then we ordered a Spaghetti Nero Di Calamari E Merluzzo (Pasta with squid ink and fried cod), Lasagne Al Forno (Oven-baked minced beef with layers of pasta) and two drinks.
The food was not too bad but probably because I don't have a big appetite, I was actually slightly full after the appetizer. Hehehe.. In the end, I didn't finish up my lagsane, which is quite wasteful.
Below is the link for AMICI, though the interior design doesn't seem to be the same as advertised on the website :P
Actually quite enjoy dining with LG as I think he lives to eat. Can see how he enjoys eating. Hmmm.. at the rate we are dining, I have to watch my weight then... hehehe...
