I'm Late For Work!!

Yes.. I'm late for work today. All thanks to the guy who committed suicide at CCK MRT track at 8am. I got missed calls from Keat Hoon and saw her sms that the train from CCK to JE had broken down.

I panicked. I gave Keat Hoon a call. She said that when she was at Yew Tee MRT at 8am, she heard the announcement that the train to JE had broken down. The trains could only go via Marina Bay. The train breakdown would only resume 60 min later. At this time, if I were to take the train to Marina Bay, I'd definitely be late for work. Even the bus was already very crowded at my place even though it's the 4th bus stop from the interchange. Nevertheless, I still took bus to the interchange to try my luck. Perhaps the train would have resumed its journey.

When I reached interchange, to my horror, the interchange was very crowded. I quickly called my boss, he told me to either queue for the bus or take a cab. Take a cab?!!! Does he know how much it cost to take cab down to work? The previous time I took cab to Shenton Way already cost me $30! Kaoz...

Luckily Alan offered to pick me up at Tg Pagar MRT. I managed to reach office at 9.40am. However, boss came over to ask me if other than CCK MRT track is affected. Hey, come on lah.. the MRT track is a circuit system. One station jammed, the other stations are surely affected. He thought I want to eat his office time is it? Anyway if I wanna cheat his working hours, I could have gone for 1 hour lunch, and then spend another hour chit chatting in office (which is what I'm doing now :P)

Life is so bored in this job. I've to rush to work everyday, having to worry that being late for work will cause me a fine. We are in admin line leh. We can stay back if we are late for work, although I know that we shouldn't be late as we start work at 9.30am. But the thing is, does the management have to threaten us by deducting the fine from our salary? It's too ridiculous!

If I can find a suitable job, I'd have left this job with weird and idiotic management!

Look at the crowded at CCK Interchange this morning!
