Passenger Ethics

I had a very unpleasant bus ride on the way home today.

It was pouring cats and dogs. I managed to board the bus and wanted to get a seat where the 4 seats are facing. There was this lao ah peh who stretched his legs out. I wanted to move in to the inner seat to sit down as the outside seat was already occupied by a lady. She probably didn't shift in because of the man's legs. I should have told the old man to put his legs down but I didn't because he was on the phone. Feeling annoyed, I walked to the middle where there's empty space near the exit door of the bendy bus. Really felt like screaming at him to put his legs down!!

Just then another young lady was standing beside me, chit-chatting on her mobile phone. The passenger seated in front of her was alighting. I wanted to take the seat but because she was blocking my way, there's no way I can move to the seat fast as I was standing at the space near the window. There goes another seat.

Finally someone alighted at Takashimaya. I walked over quickly, hoping to get the seat. However, there's this man who boarded the bus and sat down even though I had already reached the seat, ready to sit down. He pretended never to see me. Can you all understand how embarrassed I felt? Whole bus of passengers were looking at me. I had to 硬着头皮 walk back to the space near the exit door. The man is just being very ungentleman!!. I already stood there and he just snatched my seat!! .. His butts are gonna rot for the next few days manz...

I had diarrhea 3 times in the office and I only passed out fluid. The journey from workplace to home is about one hour and I hope to get a seat to rest and then such things happened on the way back. How can I not be pissed? I ended up standing from YMCA to CCK!!... Sigh...

Some passengers really do not have the ethics. Same thing happened few months ago. I was not feeling well and feeling giddy, and my hands were feeling cold. I was already feeling nausea and covering my mouth with my hand, for fear that I would vomit anytime. Guess what? Not a single soul gave up their seats for me lor. I could have fainted in the bus. When the bus got out of BKE, I quickly alighted at the first bus stop even though I had not reached my destination because I knew I couldn't wait anymore. The moment I alighted, I vomitted.

It was raining that evening. I wanted to take a cab to the clinic near my house under the Great Eastern Scheme offered by my company. There wasn't any cab available. In the end, I had to walk a bus stop further down to get a cab. Really pathetic that time lor... Imagine you are sick and couldn't get a cab and it was raining and you didn't have your dinner yet.

Finally I managed to get a cab. As it was 7pm+, there was a peak hour charge of $2. I ended up paying about $7 just to travel from Bukit Panjang to CCK Community Centre
